The newest addition to the Harvard Business School Executive Education Complex, the Chao Center serves as a vibrant hub of activity for the more than 10,000 executives who attend programs each year.

The Center’s spacious function and gathering areas, office and dining facilities, and state-of-the-art classrooms are designed to inspire interactions, fuel connections, and enrich the overall HBS experience.

Located on the second floor, the Executive Education dining hall includes cooking demonstration display areas that feature global food themes—each prominently located to draw participants into the space and foster interactions.
Tata Hall
Distinguished by its unique arc shape, Tata Hall is a seven-story glass building that features residential space, classrooms, and common areas for Executive Education participants to live, learn, and engage.

Featuring the School’s signature horseshoe-shaped design—along with tiered seating, curved, continuous writing surfaces, moveable blackboards, and projection screens—classrooms are specifically designed to facilitate case-method teaching.

Living Group Lounges
“Living groups” are carefully designed to encourage leadership development inside the classroom and beyond. Tata Hall has a lounge for each living group, designed to cultivate relationships that continue long after the program ends.

Offering the perfect blend of comfort and convenience, Esteves Hall boasts modern bedrooms and bathrooms, and spacious common areas.

To foster higher levels of engagement and collaboration, participants live in suites composed of six to eight private rooms with a shared common area. The common living area encourages discussion and promotes a sense of community.

Noted for its Georgian-style architecture, McArthur Hall features living and meeting spaces that are designed to encourage intellectual and social engagement beyond the classroom.

Shad Hall
A private, state-of-the-art fitness facility open only to members of the HBS community, Shad houses 3 basketball courts, an indoor track, group exercise studios for regularly scheduled fitness classes, cardio and strength equipment, and multiple squash and racquetball courts.
