Conversations & Presentations
The key to a successful event at HBS is the dialogue between students and recruiters. Educate students about your company values, opportunities, and career paths through meaningful conversations with students 1:1, in a small group, or in a large classroom setting.
Event Format
Conversations – 1:1 or Small Group
The majority of our recruiting partners that host events choose 1:1 or small group conversations. This format promotes meaningful interactions in a more personalized setting.
- Recommend quick introduction with majority of time dedicated to discussion and Q&A.
- Up to 8 students per timeslot.
- May select 20, 30, or 45-minute timeslots.
- Option for consecutive timeslots (example: 4:00-6:00 pm with four 30-minute timeslots, up to 8 students per timeslot).

First Year
- On-campus & virtual: may begin at 3:30 pm ET
- Off-campus: may begin at 5:30 pm ET
Second Year
- On-campus & virtual: may begin at 9:00 am ET
- Off-campus: may begin at 5:30 pm ET
Presentations
This option is for organizations that typically draw large student attendance and need a bit more flexibility with the event format.
- Recommend quick introduction with majority of time dedicated to discussion and Q&A.
- Unlimited number of students.
- 45-minute afternoon timeslot or 90-minute evening timeslot.

- Off-campus: may begin at 5:30 pm ET
Second Year
- On-campus & virtual: may begin at 3:30 pm ET
- Off-campus: may begin at 5:30 pm ET
Event Locations and Signup Options

- On-Campus Conversations: 6-10 person conference room.
- On-Campus Presentations: 90-person classroom.
- Virtually: Online software of your choice.
- Off-Campus: Venue of your choice; organizations are responsible for all off-campus event logistics.

- Open Signups: Any HBS student may attend. Utilize 12twenty or provide an external signup option.
- By Invitation: You select your invite list and reach out directly to students.
Multi-School Webinars
While we cannot manage industry conflicts for multi-school webinars, we will post them on our recruiting platform as long as it does not conflict with classes. We encourage companies to record webinars to make them available to all students.
Off-Campus In-Person Events
Off-campus in-person presentations, conversations, receptions, dinners, and other events may be held in the evening starting at 5:30 pm; companies must manage all logistics but may utilize 12twenty for signups.
