Community

Harvard Business School (HBS) is home to a vibrant and dynamic community of aspiring doctoral students. While working with faculty will sharpen the skills needed for PhD studies, doing so alongside a group of similarly motivated early career professionals makes it even more rewarding. It's a collaborative environment that encourages intellectual growth, career development, and lifelong connections.

The HBS Predoctoral RA Program is a cohort experience. New RAs have the chance to benefit from the tips and guidance of their second-year peers, while seasoned predocs can act as mentors to incoming RAs. The cohort model creates meaningful connections and a shared learning environment similar to those RAs may find in future doctoral studies. This experience, along with co-located workspaces and tailored programming, builds camaraderie and community.
