    Harvard Business School Announces 2017 Goldsmith Fellows

    BOSTON—Harvard Business School (HBS) has announced the 2017 recipients of its Horace W. Goldsmith Fellowships. Established in 1998 by the Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation and Richard L. Menschel (MBA 1959), a former director of the Foundation and a limited partner at Goldman Sachs, to encourage students from the nonprofit sector to attend HBS, these fellowships enable the School to award approximately $10,000 each to seven to ten incoming MBA students.       Harvard Business School Professor Robert Blair Stobaugh, Jr. Dies at 89

      BOSTON—Robert Blair Stobaugh, Jr., a noted expert on energy, international business, and corporate governance passed away on August 14, in Houston, Texas. He is best known for leading a ground-breaking study of the nation’s energy alternatives and co-editing with Daniel Yergin, the 1979 resulting best-seller, Energy Future: The report of the Energy Project at the Harvard Business School. He was the Charles Edward Wilson Professor Emeritus of the school and recipient of its highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award in 2001. Read more.

      HBX Launches Entrepreneurship Essentials, a New Online Certificate Program

      BOSTON—HBX, Harvard Business School’s digital learning initiative, is announcing the launch of Entrepreneurship Essentials: People, Opportunity, Context, and Deal, the fifth course in its expanding suite of online certificate programs.
