    Harvard Business School Offers Online HBX CORe Program for Spring and Summer 2015

    BOSTON—Registration opened Monday, Jan. 12, for the spring and summer 2015 cohorts of Harvard Business School’s new HBX CORe program, a cutting-edge online learning initiative that provides a primer on the fundamentals of business with a suite of three integrated courses: Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, and Financial Accounting. The program, taught by a team of HBS faculty members, is designed specifically for rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors; current and prospective graduates; and those in the first ten years of their careers.       Harvard Business School Professor Emeritus Paul Vatter Dies at 90

      BOSTON—Paul A. Vatter, Harvard Business School's Lawrence E. Fouraker Professor of Business Administration Emeritus and a highly regarded statistician whose superb teaching skills and collegial manner helped thousands of MBA students and executives understand – and even enjoy -- the daunting subject matter of Managerial Economics (a required course at HBS for many years focusing on statistical analysis and decision making), died on Jan. 4 at Belmont Manor in Belmont, Mass. He was 90 years old and had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease for a decade. Read more.
