Professor Jay Lorsch: Listening
Jay W. Lorsch, the Louis Kirstein Professor of Human Relations, believes the case method teaches students about the importance of listening. He cites the 1940s “Dashman Company” case, in which a company’s leadership team made hiring decisions without listening to each other and their employees, as an ideal vehicle for active problem-solving discussions. |
