“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
I want to be brave enough to follow my heart in all things.
I want to be brave enough to follow my dream of being elected Mayor of New York City. I know that my chances are improbable at best, but I will never forgive myself if I do not try. Even if I am not elected Mayor, I want to live a life of public service and make a difference in my community.
I want to be brave enough to be successful at work AND at home. Professional success is not enough if I do not have a partner, family, and good friends to share it with. Nor does professional success matter if I do not have time to enjoy my loved ones, cook extravagant meals, and see plays and baseball game.
I want to be brave enough to face failure with a shrug of the shoulder and a desire to try again. I want to be brave enough to believe in myself.
