“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

I want to be a restless farmer.

The kind that disseminates seeds all along the way, and patiently helps them grow and bloom. I never want to lose contact with the natural beauty of life and effort, I don't want to use any shortcuts or be attracted by far away mermaids. I want to feel through my crumpled hands and my tired eyes the fruit of an honest and dedicated labor.

My ancestors and my father both literally and figuratively have been remarkable farmers. They have waited patiently and lovingly, not without effort, pain or disillusion, for a good and healthy crop.

I am one of their seeds, emerging, and I am very grateful to them. I dream of continuing this heritage. I want to help people and ideas develop. I want to see my family and friends blossom.

In this quest, I might sow or harvest, I might hope for good weather. But I will never succeed without passionate work.
