“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

Make people smile. And laugh and play, and have wonderful vacations they never forget. I am going to build resorts that bring people together. Places that strengthen the love in families and the bonds of friendship.

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to run hotels. Serving others, helping people make memories, is what makes me happy. I can't walk past a lost tourist without pointing out the way, or let friends dine on anything but the best at my favorite restaurant. It's in my very nature to want to give the finest hospitality. And with time and practice I'm getting better at it.

When I build my hotels I want them to capture the essence of each location—to extend culture and character from the community to the guests. Hotels that enhance our sense of being somewhere rather than being anywhere. And that leave travelers with more than just a stamp in their passport—with a little bit better understanding of how we each fit in the shrinking world around us.

Travel brings us around the globe, but Hospitality connects us to the places we go. I believe hotels have the power to change the world. I will change hotels.
