Leave a lasting impression on someone that has doubted the capabilities of people that look like me. Make it so that he will never doubt another black woman again without first thinking about the bigotry he had towards me... and how I proved him wrong
Prioritize my career in such a way that my husband will never doubt my unwavering commitment to our marriage
Raise children that will understand that there are no shortcuts to any place worth going
Never use a lack of money as an excuse for not fulfilling my dreams
Learn to give myself the same benefit of the doubt I give others
Teach others the joys of singing aloud... even if they don't have a great voice. Teach others the joys of dancing... even if they have no rhythm
Show others how fulfilling life can be when you're not worried about being liked by everyone
Speak out for someone who feels voiceless. Stand up for someone that feel powerless. Through my actions, show at least one person what a big difference a little bit of courage can make
