“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
I have one clear professional objective in life: not to go unnoticed. I want to have a deep impact around me. I would love to become a CEO one day, but you don't have to be one to have an impact in the world. You can create, innovate and contribute at many levels during your career. Although I don't mind working hard , I also don't want to be a slave to my job. I want to have a large family and to have a deep impact on them as well. I want to make them happy. This is a very simple concept for me; it means to spend time with them, sharing laughs, walks, dinners… and I know that this requires time and dedication. I am afraid that these two objectives could be incompatible in many of the situations I will face. Maybe I am a dreamer, but to achieve both is the challenge of my life. After all, if I can be proud of my work and my family, and they can be proud of me, then I will be happy too. But I also need risk and adventure to be happy. Most couples go to Hawaii or Venice for their honeymoon – I am going to Burma despite the travel warnings. The thrill of the adventure is the strongest feeling I have ever had. Similarly, one day I would like to have the same feeling about my whole life – one of adventures and lasting accomplishments.
