Why did you choose this path at this point in time?
I reached a decision point where I needed to decide if I wanted to continue becoming more specialized or pivot out of my role to strengthen my strategic business leadership skills. Knowing my long-term priorities would require the latter, an MBA was the ideal choice.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
An actress! Many people thought I looked like Raven Symone when I was younger, so I planned to replace her on the Disney Channel TV Show "That's So Raven."
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Spending Sundays after church with my family and community, eating a traditional soul food dinner, and running around with other kids in our churchyard while we waited to eat. As an only child, I valued time spent with other children in my community and celebrating the traditions of my culture.
Who is one person from your life that you admire the most today?
My mother. Despite being poor, she always found a way to supply our needs while teaching me fundamental characteristics like humility, faith, resilience, and hard work that I hold close to my heart as a leader.
What’s the best thing about your hometown?
The food! At any budget, you will find a tasty meal!
