Women
Harvard Business School is committed to accelerating the advancement of women leaders who make a difference in the world.
Student Clubs
Participating in one of the 95+ student-run clubs at Harvard Business School (HBS) can be a great way both to explore interests and meet some of your closest friends.
Women’s Student Association
The Women's Student Association (WSA) is the largest student club on campus. The WSA actively supports a community that empowers and mobilizes women to thrive academically, socially, and professionally for long-term success. The WSA network of Women’s Reps helps provide the encouragement, structure, and support to leaders within each first-year section to facilitate frank and open discussions on a variety of issues related to gender inequality. Among other initiatives, the WSA hosts the annual Women in Business Conference, career development events, and a quarterly speaker series bringing female leaders to campus.
Women in Investing
Women in Investing (WII) seeks to develop and strengthen the network of women both on and off campus who are interested in buy-side investing. The WII club plans annual student treks to New York, Boston, and San Francisco toward a mission of helping women break into and succeed in investing.
Student Conferences
Club conferences are a vibrant part of the HBS ecosystem. Over 25 conferences are held each year on topics ranging from finance to entrepreneurship to women in business – and all are open to prospective students. Check out the HBS Women in Business Conference or the Women in Investing Summit.
Organization & Conference Affiliations
The HBS Admissions team attends the Forté Forum Series, including in-person and virtual graduate school fairs, and the Grace Hopper Celebration conference. You can also find us at some industry conferences.
Forté Fellowship Opportunity
Harvard Business School partners with the Forté Foundation to select HBS Forté Fellows each year. The mission of the Forté Foundation is to substantially increase the number of women business owners and leaders by increasing the flow of women into key educational gateways and business networks. Forté Fellows exhibit exemplary leadership, represent diverse backgrounds, and demonstrate a commitment to advancing women in business, all of which aligns with the mission of Forté.
Any incoming first-year student can apply to be a HBS Forté Fellow. While the HBS Forte Fellowship does not have a funding component, Forte Fellows do receive a number of benefits.
