In collaboration with six Harvard University graduate schools, Harvard Business School offers seven Joint Degree programs. These programs prepare individuals for complex leadership challenges that balance expertise with effective management skills. All Joint Degree students are required to complete the MBA Required Curriculum in its entirety. Students enrolled in a Joint Degree program are fully responsible for knowing their specific program’s guidelines for credit distributions during the Elective Curriculum (EC) Year. For information on each program’s requirements, see below:

  • MBA/MPP (Master of Public Policy) Program with Harvard Kennedy School
  • MBA/MPA-ID (Master of Public Administration-International Development) Program with Harvard Kennedy School
  • JD/MBA Program with Harvard Law School
  • MD/MBA Program with Harvard Medical School
  • DMD/MBA Program with Harvard School of Dental Medicine
  • MS/MBA: Engineering Sciences Program with Harvard SEAS
  • MS/MBA Biotechnology: Life Sciences Students with Harvard GSAS/SCRB

Students enrolled in a Joint Degree program are expected to be aware of, and to comply with, the policies and procedures that govern academic and student life at both Harvard Business School and the second Harvard graduate school in which they are enrolled.

Special Note: Joint Degree courses meeting on the HBS campus are subject to all MBA policies.
