RISE Fellowship

The Recognizing Individuals Seeking Equity (RISE) Fellowship awards $10,000 to up to twenty MBA candidates in each class who demonstrated exemplary commitment to serving under-resourced communities in the US prior to enrolling at HBS.

Recipients of this award exhibit the following:

• Demonstrated commitment to and impact in under-resourced communities in the US, defined as ZIP Codes in which more than 20% of households have income below the poverty level.

• Efforts that extend beyond the applicant's primary role at work.

• Community engagement as demonstrated by service to others, advocacy, action, and impact.

• An interest in sharing their experience and impact with the broader HBS community, future workplaces, and society through business and advocacy.
