A pilot for the Class of 2023, the Recognizing Individuals Seeking Equity (RISE) Career Fellow program provides funding for one graduating student to work for a growing business that is creating economic opportunity for marginalized communities in the US.

This unique one-year experience is designed to have a lasting impact on the community served, the company, and the fellow’s development as a leader who will make a difference in the world. The program will strengthen HBS’s connections with underserved communities and help to fulfill the School’s public commitment, made in its Advancing Racial Equity action plan, to engage with the broader business community to promote racial equity.

The RISE Career Fellow sources an opportunity that aligns with their career goals and meets the objectives of the program. The fellow receives $112,500 from HBS combined with $37,500 from their employer for a total salary of $150,000 to fund 12 months of employment immediately following graduation.
