Career Tools & Resources

Students gain the tools they need for their internship and full-time search, as well as an in-depth library of resources surrounding ones professional development.

Harvard Business School (HBS) Career & Professional Development (CPD) works to provide varied resources tailored to each individual's need. With our help, students will not only have the tools they need for both their internship and full-time search, but also an array of resources geared toward their professional development post-HBS.

A Dedicated Team

CPD is committed to helping both students and alumni realize their unique career visions. With more than 30 career education professionals on the team, we work together to not only guide students and alumni through their career journey, but also provide valuable programming for both students and alumni and create valuable employer relationships for the HBS network.

Coaching & Advising

We know that every student’s career journey is unique. That’s why we offer 1:1 support from trained Career Coaches and Student Advisors who can help guide students through the career search process from beginning to end.

Company Connections

CPD partners with more than 1,140 companies each year to host events, post jobs, and conduct interviews. Both students and alumni have access to our exclusive database, where they can search for companies, contacts, and job postings by industry, location, and function. They can also make company connections through the various student-led clubs, which network with organizations.

Focused Job Search

In a student's second year, they will work closely with their career coach to continue to adjust based on their summer experience. Whether it means readjusting their job search or revisiting their self-assessments post-internship, their coach will guide them through their search. No matter what their path looks like, they will have access to on-campus interviews, networking events and negotiation resources to help them toward their next step.

Entrepreneurship Opportunities

Explore the world of entrepreneurship with unique programming and opportunities, including the Rock Summer Fellows program and the HBS New Venture Competition. You'll have access to world-class centers for entrepreneurship at both the Rock Center and the Harvard Innovation Lab.

Global Opportunity Fellowship

(GO: AFRICA)

HBS supports graduating students and recent alumni who are making a different working in Africa. The GO Fellowship is awarded to a limited number of students/recent graduates who accept a full-time, post-HBS job in Africa, or are a founder of a new venture in Africa.

HBS Recruiting Platform

The HBS recruiting platform 12twenty makes it easy for students to connect with employers looking to hire and fellow students and alumni looking to network.
