WHAT IS YOUR DAY JOB AT HBS?

ANNA: I work as the Clubs Coordinator in MBA Student & Academic Services, providing guidance to officers of the 88 student clubs on campus.  I assist with event and conference planning, financial reporting, training, and whatever other club-related questions arise throughout the year.

KRISTINA: I’m a Program Delivery Manager at HBX and work directly with all of our B2B clients to ensure a seamless experience.  I work with all of our clients through pre-program, during program, and post-program communications

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN A PROGRAM MANAGER BEFORE?

ANNA: I’ve been lucky enough to serve as a Program Manager twice before: two years ago in Shanghai, China and last year in Accra, Ghana.

KRISTINA: I haven’t yet had the opportunity to serve as a Program Manager in the past because I was working full time while getting my master’s degree.  I’m really excited to have the opportunity to participate this year!

WHAT EXCITES YOU MOST ABOUT TRAVELING WITH MBA STUDENTS AND FACULTY?

ANNA: As Program Managers during FGI, we get to see HBS from a different lens than we do the rest of the year.  It’s a great opportunity to meet people we don’t interact with in our day jobs and to see students, faculty, and staff at work in the field.

KRISTINA: I’m excited to travel to a new country and be immersed into a completely different environment that forces me to learn outside of my comfort zone with whole new group of people.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN IN YOUR FGI LOCATION?

ANNA: I’m interested in learning about Romania’s recent history and how it’s impacted life for the people of the country.

KRISTINA: I hope to experience another part of the world and learn about the country and people.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU CAN’T TRAVEL WITHOUT?

ANNA: A book!

KRISTINA: My sneakers.

WHERE HAS BEEN YOUR MOST FAVORITE PLACE TO TRAVEL AND WHY?

ANNA: While traveling in Ghana was challenging, it was probably my favorite experience because it was so different than anywhere else I’d been. I never fell asleep on the long bus rides because I wanted to see everything!

KRISTINA: Italy was one of the most memorable places I have traveled to because it was incredible - the food, the architecture, the people - it is really an amazing place where I felt completely relaxed.

IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE THREE WORDS TO DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS A TRAVELER, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?

ANNA: (1) Curious, (2) Organized, and (3) Flexible.

KRISTINA: (1) Energetic, (2) Tenacious, and (3) Adventurous.

IF YOU COULD SPEAK ANOTHER LANGUAGE, WHICH WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

ANNA: French, because it’s spoken in so many places!

KRISTINA: Spanish because it would be one of the most resourceful languages to know while traveling.
