This year, Arthur Segel will lead the London IFC: Beyond the "Square Mile";  Investment, Private Equity, & Real Estate.

HAVE YOU EVER TAUGHT AN IFC BEFORE?

Yes, I co-led the India IFC in January 2015 with three other HBS faculty members. We traveled to Bombay and New Delhi, focusing on social enterprise, real estate/infrastructure, private equity, and venture capital. Back then, the course was still called an Immersive Experience Program (IXP).

This past January 2016, I led the New York City IFC which focused on private equity and real estate.

WHAT INTERESTS YOU MOST ABOUT BUSINESS IN LONDON?

It's the financial capital for much of the world with lots of brilliant investors and an amazing history. In the age of BREXIT, now what?

WHAT EXCITES YOU MOST ABOUT TRAVELING WITH MBA STUDENTS?

Great getting to know students in all sorts of settings outside of the classroom.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU CAN’T TRAVEL WITHOUT?

I used to say my running shoes; but with a titanium knee; I can't - I am afraid it's my iPad (like everyone else).

IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE THREE WORDS TO DESCRIBE YOU AS A TRAVELER, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?

Be curious; stay flexible; love to meet new people

ANY ADVICE FOR YOUR IFC STUDENTS THIS YEAR?
