Under Keller’s leadership, Chrysler Corporation became second among the world’s largest auto producers (Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto and Chrysler). During his tenure, the firm pioneered many of the engineering advances that are standard today, including high-compression engines and four-wheel hydraulic brakes. At the end of 1947, it had total assets of $487 million and sales over $1 billion.
