Taub took a back-office, manual operation and turned it into a successful business proposition. In starting ADP, he concentrated on providing payroll services for small businesses and for financial service firms on Wall Street. The quality, accuracy, and speed with which his business delivered its services was widely recognized, and over the years, ADP has become a primary supplier of outsourced processing for much more than payroll. It provides services for claims processing, brokerage fees, and banking transactions.
