Great American Business Leaders of the 20th Century
Earl B. Dickerson
In his first few years as CEO, Dickerson devoted his energies to changing the policy focus from industrial to ordinary life polices and to increasing the quality and number of the company’s agents. Dickerson also expanded the firm through 5 acquisitions, which spread business into several new states. Championing the notion that economic security was key to racial equality, Dickerson grew Supreme Life into one of the largest black owned businesses in the country.
