The multimedia case takes viewers behind the scenes of a human-centered design company, IDEO, as they embrace the shifting demands of their global client base. The case examines IDEO’s work for Cineplanet, the largest movie theater chain in Peru. Facing competition from streaming services and increased piracy, Cineplanet sought IDEO’s expertise. Together, they redesigned every facet of their customer experience—from the company’s website to their lobbies. For this request, IDEO embarked on a multi-week trip to Peru, infusing creativity and exploration into their client research.Â
I'm so proud of this case. We worked incredibly hard on this case. We worked on it for nine months, but seeing it in the classroom, seeing it with students—and now we've seen it with MBAs, and we've seen it with executives at every level—it creates such energy in the classroom. And it's really exciting to get to see them on the ground, experiencing the process as it was rolling out before our eyes when we were producing it.
