Professor Huckman teaches the second-year course in Operations Strategy and has taught HBS Executive Education programs and the first-year course in Technology and Operations Management. He is a Faculty Research Fellow in the health care program of the National Bureau of Economic Research, and the co-chair of the management track of Harvard’s doctoral program in health policy.

Leemore Dafny is the Bruce V. Rauner Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School. She also serves as Professor of Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. Dafny is an applied microeconomist whose research examines competitive interactions among and between payers, providers of healthcare services, and pharmaceutical manufacturers, with an emphasis on policy implications.

As the founding Faculty Chair of the HBS Health Care Initiative, Professor Hamermesh oversaw its inception and development from 2005 to 2015. Professor Hamermesh retired in the spring of 2015, but he remains involved with the Initiative on an advisory basis.

Casey oversees HCI’s overall strategy and operations, manages a portfolio of programs and activities that support faculty research and teaching, educational programs within the MBA and Executive Education curriculum and career support programs, and alumni outreach and engagement. She has spent her career working in the non-profit, government, and higher education sectors and has followed a path in and out of roles in support of education for all ages, from early education to adult learners. Along the way, she has discovered that she has a passion for building programs that maximize the impact of the Harvard community. When not at HBS, she can be found spending time with her family, volunteering and enjoying a yoga class.

Tracy plans, designs, and implements offerings that support HCI’s life science strategy, incorporating education, research, and career development, for HBS students, faculty, and alumni. Her work supports the life sciences within HBS, while identifying and extending engagement opportunities to mission-aligned enterprises around Harvard and the Boston biotech community. She is passionate about helping entrepreneurs create ventures while becoming next-generation leaders. Tracy worked in roles in non-profit mental health and pediatric rehabilitation development before finding her passion in health care and higher education. When not at HBS, she can be found spending time with her family and friends, studying for an upcoming exam, or serving on her town's school board.

Krys is responsible for programming and content related to health care delivery and services for MBAs, alumni and faculty. He is passionate about reforming health care to improve outcomes and make it accessible to all. Prior to joining HBS, Krys worked as a health program developer and outreach coordinator in both Boston and Philadelphia. Outside of HBS, he enjoys spending time with his wife and cats.

Lanika has been a Harvard Business School (HBS) Community member since March 2010. While relatively new to the Health Care Initiative (HCI), Lanika's deep-rooted ties to her hometown, Boston, Massachusetts, have given her an intricate understanding of the local healthcare landscape. She graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management; her academic background aligns with her commitment to the healthcare sector. Her familiarity with the city's healthcare institutions is a testament to her knowledge and engagement in the industry.

Outside of work, Lanika is a devoted volunteer, seizing opportunities to contribute to her community when time allows. She enjoys traveling, creating art, and spending quality time with her cat and family.

Lu is the Coordinator for the Life Science and Health Care Initiative. In this role, she works closely with the Blavatnik Fellowship Program in Life Science Entrepreneurship, overseeing program operations and engagement. She also leads content strategy for the Health Care Initiative’s social media channels and website, highlighting key developments in health care, faculty research, and industry trends.

Prior to joining HCI, Lu worked at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Zus Health, a Boston-based health tech startup. She holds a degree in General Medicine and a master’s in Health Communication.
