Gender and Work Symposium
Gender and Work Symposium
In March, we regretfully postponed our annual conference due to the COVID crisis. While we had hoped to host “The Master’s Tools: Exposing, Rejecting, Appropriating” on May 6th and 7th of 2021, we are uncertain that we'll be able to convene safely at that time. We strongly believe the richness of this agenda is best experienced in person. So, sadly, we will have to wait yet another year before being together again. Please save May 5th and 6th, 2022 on your calendar!
However, given the current state of the world, we do not want to forgo an opportunity to intellectually galvanize and support one another for yet another year. Therefore, we will hold an abbreviated, virtual version of the Symposium on Thursday, May 6th 2021.
Gender and Work Research Symposium: Virtual Edition will take place on Thursday, May 6th in two sessions between 10:00 -11:45 AM and 2:00-4:00PM. The morning session will include a panel we are calling “Race, Capitalism, and Democracy,” which will feature three outstanding scholars: Professor Robert Livingston of Harvard Kennedy School, Professor Sarah Kaplan of The Rotman School of Management at The University of Toronto, and Professor Danielle Allen of Harvard University. Their panel discussion will be followed by breakout conversations as well as a Q&A. The afternoon portion of the program will include a menu of options for participants to engage in small group discussions on a range of topics.
