The 14th International Open and User Innovation Conference

The conference program and the "14th International Open and User Innovation Conference Book of Abstracts" can accessed on the OUI event page hosted by the HBS Digital Initiative.


Next year's conference will be held at the University of Innsbruck from 9-12 July 2017.

The 15th International Open and User (OUI) Innovation Conference is now accepting papers and posters. The submission phase is open until April 20, 2017.

The 14th International Open and User Innovation Conference will be held from August 1-3, 2016 at the Harvard Business School campus in Boston, USA.

The International Open and User Innovation Conference is the leading academic conference on Open and User Innovation. Around 200 researchers from various disciplines (such as innovation management, strategic management, organization design, marketing, intellectual property right management, entrepreneurship, and public policy) meet annually, in order to exchange recent research findings and plans related to Open and User Innovation.

Attendee Requirements
Admission is open to academics and scholars who are faculty, postdoctoral fellows or students currently enrolled in PhD programs.

Registration and Costs

The conference is generously supported by the HBS Division of Research and Faculty Development. With this assistance, we can offer conference fees of $225 for faculty and $100 for students and post-doctoral fellows - covering all meeting costs including refreshments, lunches, and dinners during the program.  Please note that all attendees are responsible for both arranging and funding their own travel and lodging.
