John H. Lynch is presently a Senior Lecturer of Business Administration in the General Management Unit at Harvard Business School.

Prior to his business career, Lynch earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Hampshire, a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.

During his career, Lynch served as Director of Admissions at Harvard Business School and President of the Lynch Group, a business consulting firm in Manchester, New Hampshire. Lynch served as CEO of Knoll Inc., a national furniture manufacturer, where he transformed the company from losing $50 million per year, to making $240 million on $1.2 billion in sales. Under his leadership, Knoll Inc. created new jobs, gave factory workers annual bonuses, established a scholarship program for the children of employees, and created functional retirement plans for workers. Before announcing his run for governor, Lynch was serving as chairman of the University System of New Hampshire Board of Trustees. During this time, Lynch also coached his daughter's Junior Olympic softball team, which quickly became his favorite job.

In 2004, Lynch was elected as the 80th governor of New Hampshire and maintained that role from 2005-2013, becoming a historical four term governor. Since 2013, Lynch served as a Senior Lecturer in the MBA program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
