Doctoral Student

Jeff Steiner is a Doctoral Candidate in the Organizational Behavior program at Harvard Business School and a Lecturer at the Harvard Extension School. His research and teaching interests lie at the intersection of well-being and work. At the individual level, Jeff studies how people think about what it means to live a good life, and specifically how they view the role of their work and career in pursuing it. In addition, Jeff studies managerial and organizational practices aimed at safeguarding and supporting employee mental health. Jeff is motivated by the belief that improving the modern experience of work is imperative to foster greater well-being across societies.

Jeff was formerly a Talent Development Director at Morgan Stanley, as well as a Research Associate to Professor Teresa Amabile at Harvard Business School. He has studied, worked, and volunteered internationally, galvanizing his interest in studying work and well-being across vastly different contexts. Jeff earned his B.B.A. in Management and Psychology from the University of Miami.
