Silvan Baier is a doctoral student in Organizational Behavior at HBS and the Department of Sociology at Harvard University. He studies how social structures shape and are shaped by the organization, spread, and evaluation of ideas and people. In his research, he primarily uses computational methods and relies on large-scale archival data.
Before Harvard, Silvan was an Empirical Research Fellow in the Management & Organizations Department at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He received an MA in Computational Social Science from the University of Chicago and a BA in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen.
