David Shin is a doctoral student in the Organizational Behavior program jointly offered by Harvard Business School and the Department of Sociology at Harvard University. His research explores how people navigate intra-organizational networks. In particular, he is interested in when and why individuals seek exceptions to existing organizational arrangements, leverage them in unintended ways, or form new ones altogether.

Prior to his doctoral studies, David worked as a Research Associate at Harvard Business School and in social sector consulting at Informing Change. He received his B.A. in Sociology and Law, Jurisprudence, and Social Thought (LJST) from Amherst College in 2019.
