Yaxuan is a fifth-year doctoral student at Harvard Business School. Her research broadly examines design choices of management control systems, with a special focus on organizational culture as an informal control mechanism and how it interacts with other formal control systems. She strives to investigate control problems that are ubiquitous across organizations and highly relevant to practitioners. Her work has been featured in major media outlets including The Economist and The Wall Street Journal. Yaxuan received a BBA in Accounting and Finance from University of Hong Kong and M.S. in Finance from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
