Daniel Green is an assistant professor of business administration in the Finance Unit. He teaches the Finance II course to MBA students.
Professor Green’s research focuses on how functional and institutional aspects of finance affect the nature of economy activity. He studies the role financial markets play in transforming savings to investment, and how market imperfections interact with the preferences of savers and users of capital to determine which activities are financed and which risks are borne by the economy. He has studied these questions in a variety of settings including microfinance and high-yield corporate debt markets.
Professor Green holds a PhD in Financial Economics from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Rochester. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked in the Capital Markets Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
