Overview
Description
The research activity of Stefano Denicolai regards the management of innovation and technology. His recent works investigate if and how the investment in intangible assets (IA) - especially knowledge assets, such as patents or copyright - impacts on the firm performance, and on the architecture of the company's business model. In particular, the focus is twofold: a) the development of IA through open innovation practices (both inbound and bound flows); b) dynamics and effects of the IA decay
A second area of research concerns the mutual interplay between technological and geographical distance in affecting the productivity of biotechnological labs.
Stefano Denicolai is also interested in international entrepreneurship, including the relationship among startup/spin-off and equity investors.
Finally, he study the business model innovation in the tourism industry, especially with regards to the wine economy.
