Technological Change and Competitive Strategy
Description
Richard S. Rosenbloom continues to explore issues in the strategic
management of technology and the relationship between technological
change and competitive strategy. He is currently investigating the
histories of radical technological innovations and their consequences
for the competitive positions of both established firms and rivals that
exploit new technologies to enter markets. In related work, in
collaboration with the inter-university Consortium on Competitiveness
and Cooperation, Rosenbloom organized the 1993 Conference on the Future
of Industrial Research. The conference yielded the book Engines of
Innovation: U.S. Industrial Research at the End of an Era (edited by
Rosenbloom and William J. Spencer), published by Harvard Business
School Press.
