Abstract

Onboarding included the practices, programs, and policies used by an organization to facilitate new employee adjustment, development encompassed paths to individual growth within their work function, and performance management covered the ongoing communication between a manager and employee, intended to increase individual and organizational performance. Other notes in this series include “Skills-First Talent Management: Hiring” (HBS No. 425-019), and “Skills-First Talent Management: Engagement and Retention” (HBS No. 425-021).
