Abstract: In 2009, Coley Andrews and Jim Southern endeavored to raise a private equity fund for investment solely in search funds, and the companies acquired by them. A novel concept at the time, the duo founded Pacific Lake Partners and by 2014 had raised over $95 million spread across two funds. As Coley and Jim prepare for fund three, they consider capital goals, investment strategy, and the structure of Pacific Lake Partners in order to ensure success in the future.
