International Macroeconomics with Global Crises

Abstract

This note introduces a module of cases used at Harvard Business School (HBS) to teach fundamental concepts of international macroeconomics through the discussion of global crises. First, to provide context, it gives a brief overview of the module. Then, it describes the core ideas an instructor can teach through the module's six case studies, organized by theme into three main submodules. Along the way, it provides references to scholarly research, including some by the author.
