New Interest in Incentive Financing
By: Samuel Hayes
Abstract
The article presents the findings of a study on incentive financings as they apply to institutional investors, particularly life insurance company investors. The author made contact with investment officers in 29 insurance companies, and have collected a considerable amount of quantitative data on their activities in incentive financings. One result of this study indicated that the great bulk of business organizations accommodated with incentive financings have been well-established companies from a wide variety of industries all over the U.S. Another point cited by the study is that among life insurance companies, interest in incentive financings does not appear to be limited to any one group.
