Sustainability has become mainstream in management practice, education, and research by fitting into pre-existing models and metrics. This has slowed the pace at which we are approaching systems collapse, but has not led to a sustainable economy. This session will be an open discussion of the need to reassess the focus, goals, and metrics of business sustainability as we enter a new geologic epoch called the Anthropocene. Andy will offer his thoughts on this reassessment and welcome yours.
