Information Sessions

This admissions season, we are pleased to offer virtual information sessions. At these events, doctoral staff give an overview of the programs as well as answer your questions. Registration information for these events is required.

  • Thursday, November 17 at 12pm ET

DocNet Consortium Events

DocNet is an organization of more than 130 universities granting doctoral degrees in business administration and economics. Its purpose is to promote doctoral education in business throughout the world. Through DocNet, a group of administrative representatives host outreach events to share more information about our programs, student life, and admissions. All events are free and open to the public but require registration. They typically take place in the early evening.

  • Tuesday, October 11 – Emory University (co-hosted by Georgia Institute of Technology and Spelman College)
  • Thursday, October 13 - George Mason University (co-hosted by the University of Maryland)
  • Tuesday, October 25 – University of California, Berkeley
  • Thursday, October 27 – University of Washington
  • Tuesday November 15 – University of Notre Dame

The PhD Project

Harvard Business School Doctoral Programs is pleased to participate in events organized by the PhD Project, an organization that aids Black/African-Americans, Latinx/Hispanic-Americans and Native Americans attain their PhD in business academia and become the professors at business schools. Their flagship Annual Conference occurs each November and offers prospective applicants the opportunity to meet with admissions officers, faculty, and doctoral students at business schools from around the world. This year's Annual Conference will be held on November 16-17. The deadline to apply for the conference is September 30th, 2022 at midnight EST. The PhD Project's work benefits not only prospective doctoral students but also current PhD students and alumni by providing networking and mentorship opportunities throughout their academic journeys. HBS students and alumni have engaged with the PhD Project throughout their time in the doctoral program and beyond, providing a support network of mentorship, which HBS is committed to continuing to support.
