Harvard University provides several options for guest accessibility and accommodations – including accessible parking information, shuttle and van services, HU ceremony accommodations, and wheelchair rental information. Please refer to the online resource if you and/or your guest have specific needs. In addition, listed below are some additional resources that are specific to the HBS campus.
HBS Campus Golf Carts
Golf carts will be available on a campus loop before and after the ceremonies on both Class Day and Commencement.

HBS Courtesy Wheelchair Loans
Wheelchairs will be available for courtesy loans to HBS students who reserve a wheelchair in advance.
- To request a wheelchair, graduates should fill out the required form on myHBS (login required).
- The pick-up/drop-off location is inside Klarman Hall between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM on both Class Day and Commencement.
- Reserved wheelchairs not picked up will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Reserved accessible seating will be available for guests in wheelchairs during the HBS Diploma Ceremony and can be requested via the online form above. Additional information is below regarding seating.
- If you need a longer-term wheelchair loan (several days to a week), please contact a local vendor to rent a wheelchair for a cost. More information can be found on the Harvard Commencement site.
American Sign Language
When requested, ASL can be provided for the HBS Class Day and Diploma Ceremonies. Please email commencement@hbs.edu by May 1, 2025 to further discuss this accommodation and to coordinate reserved seating in the accessible seating section on Baker Lawn. Additional information is below regarding accessible seating.
Captioning
Open captions will be provided on the video screens on Baker Lawn for the HBS Class Day and Diploma Ceremonies.
Assisted Listening Devices
Assisted listening devices are available upon request at the HBS Class Day and Diploma Ceremonies. Devices can be obtained from the media booth located near Wilder House.
Accessible Seating
Accessible seating tickets are available for the HBS Class Day and Commencement Ceremonies. In order to accommodate as many family members as possible in this section, individuals requiring accessible seating will be permitted to have one companion accompany them into the accessible seating section. The companion must also have an accessible seating ticket. While every effort will be made to accommodate guests on site, space is limited, and advance planning and registration is strongly encouraged. Graduates can make reservations for accessible seating can be made via the online form on myHBS (login required).
