Health Minute: Can Physicians Maintain Trust When Delivering Bad News?

Patients often distrust, dislike or avoid their physician upon receiving bad news. However, the doctor is the one who is likely in the best position to help the patient. Professor Leslie John shares how her research is coming up with ways in which physicians can tackle the challenge of delivering unwanted news without the physician while maintaining the patient's trust.
