Managing Diversity, A Conversation about John Lewis and the Civil Rights Movement

Historian and Professor Nancy Koehn shares her latest thinking on a case study she and Research Associate Eugene B. Kogan are creating on Congressman John Lewis and the Civil Rights Movement in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Lewis' death in July 2020 brought to a close more than six decades of his unflagging efforts for equality and justice, marked by personal courage and what he called “good trouble” to achieve change. This work is part of Koehn's larger study of a number of Movement leaders and their relevance today.
