It's Not a Vacation: HBS Staff Go Overseas to Manage Field Global Immersion Course
Each year Harvard Business School recruits staff to travel overseas with and manage programming for MBA students and faculty on a required one-week FIELD Global Immersion leadership course. While students partner with local businesses to tackle real-world problems, these staff program managers work behind the scenes to organize and deliver study materials, provide tech and logistical support, schedule events, and respond to any number of difficulties that arise unexpectedly. Long intensive days mean multi-tasking at a fast pace to manage last-minute logistical changes and respond to faculty and student needs. The job is both demanding and hugely rewarding.
