Max H. Bazerman received the 2008 Distinguished Educator Award from the Academy of Management.

Deepak Malhotra and Max H. Bazerman won the 2008 International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution Outstanding Book Award for Negotiation Genius (Bantam Books, 2007).

Guhan Subramanian's paper "Go-Shop Provisions in Private Equity Deals: Evidence and Implications" (The Business Lawyer, 2008) was selected from nearly 500 papers as one of the "top ten" articles in corporate/securities law in 2008 in the Corporate Practice Commentator's annual poll of U.S. corporate and securities law faculty. His paper "Post-Siliconix Freeze-Outs: Theory and Evidence" (Journal of Legal Studies, 2007) was selected for this honor in 2007.

Ian I. Larkin received the 2006 Distinguished Student Paper Award from the Academy of Management for his paper "The Cost of High-Powered Incentives: Salesperson Gaming in Enterprise Software."

Nava Ashraf has received a Certificate of Excellence in the 2006 TIAA-CREF Paul A. Samuelson Award competition, along with co-authors Dean Karlan and Wesley Yin, for the paper "Tying Odysseus to the Mast: Evidence from a Commitment Savings Product in the Philippines" in Quarterly Journal of Economics (May 2006). This award recognizes outstanding scholarly writing on issues related to lifelong financial security.

Max H. Bazerman and Michael Watkins won the 2006 Kulp-Wright Book Award from the American Risk and Insurance Association for Predictable Surprises: The Disasters You Should Have Seen Coming and How to Prevent Them (Harvard Business School Press, 2004). The Kulp-Wright Book Award is presented annually to the author(s) of the book considered to be the most influential text published on the economics of risk management and insurance.

Max H. Bazerman has received the 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Aspen Institute's Business and Society Program. An international nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering enlightened leadership, the Aspen Institute, through its Faculty Pioneer Awards, recognizes exceptional professors who are leaders in integrating social and environmental issues into their teaching and research.

Max H. Bazerman received an honorary doctorate from the University of London (London Business School) in 2006.
