Negotiation, Organizations & Markets
The NOM Unit has a strong sense of intellectual community and excitement about our unit, our research, and our opportunities. We share an interest in understanding and improving the design and management of systems in which people make decisions: that is, design and management of negotiations, organizations, and markets. In addition, all members of the group share an abiding interest in the micro foundations of these phenomena.
All members of the Unit believe in the power of strategic interaction (in negotiations, in organizations, and in markets) to foster innovation, and to encourage individuals and organizations to create and sustain value. Our success as a unit depends on our ability to meet the demands of these various groups with excellent research, innovative course development, and creative pedagogy.
The members of NOM are poised to exploit the opportunity presented by combining rigorous scientific methods with managerially relevant problems, to produce research and pedagogy that is compelling to both the academy and practitioners.
