Teaching at HBS
Each teaching assignment at HBS presents a unique challenge. Success in progressing through these different course strategies and student audiences comes from understanding the nuances of effective case method teaching for each application which supports the education of leaders who make a difference in the world.
The Christensen Center supports each of these teaching areas through individual consultations, class observations, group workshops and online content.
This section of our site features content specifically for HBS faculty. It addresses the nuances of our community and offers a complimentary support to that our of our direct services. This includes increased classroom video content, interviews with faculty and research findings gained from our work with faculty and students.
The mission of HBS is to educate leaders who make a difference in the world. The pursuit of this mission requires a strong culture of teaching, where learning is pursued along multiple dimensions. A carefully calibrated progression of teaching assignments allows faculty to excel in addressing the lifelong learning needs of future and current leaders who attend the school's MBA and Executive Education programs. HBS encourages faculty to leverage synergies between research and teaching, with the goal of generating intellectual capital that is both innovative and managerially relevant.
