Services for HBS Faculty
Class Observation
Staff members are available to observe individual class sessions in support of teaching development. Observations are typically accompanied by a pre-class planning session (see below) and post-observation debrief.
Pre-Class Planning
Staff members are available to meet with instructors prior to class to discuss the teaching plan and relevant teaching issues.
Video Coaching
The Center provides best practice coaching videos for faculty and also meets one-on-one or in groups to review videos and discuss teaching strategies.
Course Evaluation Analysis
Course evaluations offer a detailed look at how students perceive an instructor's classroom effectiveness.
Advice and Counsel
The Center's staff consults to HBS faculty in a broad range of areas.
Case Method Teaching
Our Case Method in Practice section features advice and tactics for successful case method teaching. Each subsection provides perspectives, guidance, and video commentary from experienced case method instructors.
Seminars & Colloquia
Every year, the Christensen center hosts workshops and seminars open to all HBS faculty on topics related to teaching.
