Who is the typical Fellow?
Since its inception in 2001, 125 MBAs have participated in the Leadership Fellows program. Some held positions in consulting firms or at investment banks before coming to HBS. Others worked in city government, venture philanthropy, or international development. 38% of Fellows from the past five years had consulting experience before coming to HBS and 40% of Fellows from the past five years had nonprofit work experience before coming to HBS.
What this diverse group shares is a desire to use their skills to take on society's most challenging issues. They approach projects with maturity, respect, and a strong collaborative spirit.
Leadership Fellows come to an organization with the goal of using their talents to make a difference. They arrive with the understanding that they have much to learn and much to share, and with the expectation that they will increase their knowledge and experience meaningful personal growth throughout the Fellowship year.
