Getting Involved

Alumni

Active engagement with the social sector is an integral part of the personal and professional lives of HBS graduates. HBS graduates pursue a variety of social–sector roles at different stages of their careers — from full–time roles within the nonprofit sector to nonprofit board service, to the pursuit of social entrepreneurship, to leadership positions within the arena of corporate responsibility, to the implementation of cross–sector partnerships.

  • Alumni Network. HBS alumni stay connected through the HBS Social Enterprise Alumni Association (SEAA)— the School's largest non-geographical alumni club with more than 800 members from 27 countries representing every class from 1950. The SEAA annual conference is typically held on campus each March in conjunction with the student-led Social Enterprise Conference.

    • Social enterprise events and programs for alumni
    • Volunteer Consulting programs
    • Events to benefit the local community
    • Fundraising and capacity-building activities to support local nonprofit organizations
  • Careers. To assist alumni pursuing careers in social enterprise, the Social Enterprise Initiative, in collaboration with Alumni Career Services and Baker Library, provides resources and support.
